New Website

It's been a while since I've done much work on my games or my website here. I have done some work on my own website, though. InhoStudios is the website name, and it essentially is going to hold the blog, a new portfolio page, to show off all my works, and some other content. It's been an interesting experience, as this was all hand-coded....

Less of a gameplay thing and more of a site maintenance thing, but I completely revamped the design of the website. Format is similar, but the icons and buttons have been redrawn, and my new logo is updated as well. Just a short update.

IT'S OFFICIAL! I'VE MIGRATED TO GAMEMAKER STUDIO 2!

For the purposes of the Hack the North Hackathon, here's Adventures in Pureia. It's currently still a work in progress, and I have stagnated on development for the past few months due to school and such, but over the summer I plan to do a lot more work on it. Level design is purely to test mechanics and such, nothing is really finalized....

Recently I haven't been working as much on game dev for A Lone Oak. I've been working on a much older project instead: Adventures in Pureia (old dev log is on CyberTecGamer). Of course, I didn't pick up where I left off years ago. Instead, I started from scratch. Currently I have basic movement and combat code working, as well...

I haven't worked on development for a while, but I've been thinking about some ideas on the direction of the game. Instead of focusing on the survival aspect, I think I want to focus more on the combat aspect, so I'm going to work on the combat aspect more right now. I think that way I can make it have...

Just finished a very basic bear sprite animation. Not sure how to show you on my site but here's a screenshot from the game. I feel like completely redrawing some of my sprites though, such as the wolf sprite, because they don't completely follow the same style.

It's been a while since I've done any work on the game at all but I've decided to work on the inventory system of the game. I have an idea for how the inventory should work so I'm just laying basic framework right now before I try to fix it.

I've realized that the problem with my code is that it's really hard to understand if its not fresh in my memory, so right now I'm going through all my code and scripts and commenting code so that I can return to it and understand whats happening a bit easier.

Going live in less than 15 minutes to do a game dev livestream. Haven't done one in a while. Stay tuned. Wyred THD on youtube.

Itch was being a bit weird with its game distribution so for now I've decided to just toss it onto google drive. Check the game out if you feel like it. Link on home page.

So yeah, I made an open alpha on itch.io. Check it out if you want. Link is on the home page under "Itch.io page" and I have a bug report button in the game which leads straight to a google form if you have any suggestions or bugs.
